SALT

SALT (Speech Application Language Tags) is a lighweight markup language that integrates speech services into standard markup languages such as HTML. SALT supports the authoring of multi-modal dialogs as well as voice-only dialogs and is suitable for the development of applications across desktop and telephony platforms. SALT is defined through the efforts of the SALT Forum, of which Carnegie Mellon is a contributor.
